Founded in South Australia, Bowhill Engineering is a structural steel fabrication company employing over 60 staff and generating approximately $15 million in annual revenue. The business specialises in constructing bridges, defence infrastructure, and large-scale mining equipment components. As Bowhill Engineering’s project load grew, inefficiencies between its project management and accounting systems became increasingly evident. The project and finance teams were managing data separately — relying on Excel spreadsheets alongside MYOB and Job Commander for accounting.

This lack of integration led to double data entry, time wastage, and frequent errors, creating friction between departments and slowing down financial reporting.

“Our systems didn’t talk to each other,” recalls CEO Jodie Hawkes. “We were double handling all our data and constantly having to check for errors. It was cumbersome and prone to mistakes.”

Bowhill Engineering adopted Procore for project management and Xero for accounting, integrating the two through Interfy’s OneCore platform. The implementation immediately removed the need for duplicate data entry and ensured that all financial transactions synced accurately between teams.
