DNA Construction is a commercial construction company specialising in healthcare projects, including hospitals and imaging clinics. The company typically manages around 15 projects in progress, with several more in the early or closing stages, supported by a team of 25 employees.

Their expertise in complex medical builds requires precise coordination, accurate financial tracking, and strict adherence to budgets and procedures.

Before implementing OneCore, DNA Construction managed projects and budgets using Excel spreadsheets. This approach led to manual data entry, inconsistent processes, and frequent double handling between project management and finance teams.

“Everyone had their own way of doing things,” explains Wendy Masters, Accounts Manager. “That meant processes were not consistent, and we sometimes saw discrepancies in financial data.”

The company needed a centralised system that would enforce standardised procedures and improve accuracy without adding administrative complexity.

DNA Construction selected Procore for project management and implemented Interfy’s OneCore to integrate Procore with Xero accounting software. The integration created a unified, automated workflow for financial data, eliminating manual entry and reducing the chance of errors.

“It is much more manageable and central, and provides a protocol for everyone to follow,” says Wendy. “This ensures there are no data discrepancies.”

The new system allowed DNA Construction to establish consistent company-wide processes, improve collaboration between teams, and increase financial accuracy.
