Box & Co is a family-owned commercial construction company based in Brisbane, operating since 1943. The business works across food and beverage, local government, and major infrastructure projects.
Box & Co has used Interfy's OneCore integration since 2020, connecting their project management platform with Xero. When the business expanded into in-house design services, that meant migrating to Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) to support the new design and construct capability.
Moving to ACC created two problems that had nothing to do with wanting new technology and everything to do with keeping the business running.
The first was making sure financial integration held up through the migration. The second was bigger: getting the finance team off the back foot with IT.
Under the old setup, a simple sync issue could take three days to resolve, bouncing between finance and IT before anything got fixed.
"Business processes should be owned by business teams, not IT teams, says Karl Harris, Box & Co’s Business Systems Manager. “Previously, a simple sync issue could take three days to resolve due to the back and forth with IT support. We needed a solution that would empower our finance team to manage these processes themselves."

The migration also had to happen without disrupting live projects or forcing staff to relearn how they worked.
Box & Co kept its existing relationship with Interfy through the migration rather than bringing in a new integration partner for the ACC transition.
Interfy mapped out the transition in detail before migration began, so ongoing projects continued without interruption. When it became clear the new platform didn't support the timesheet functionality Box & Co needed, Interfy built a custom timesheet solution inside OneCore rather than requiring separate software.
"The integration was remarkably straightforward,” says Karl. “It was one part of the project I didn't have to worry about. Our relationship with Interfy meant we could rectify any initial issues rapidly with minimal impact."
The three-month transition kept existing workflows in place wherever possible, cutting down on the need for retraining.
"The whole process has been simplistic and straightforward,” Karl explains. “It's been so low-profile internally that most staff didn't even notice the transition."
● Cut finance query resolution time from three days to five minutes, with the finance team resolving issues directly through OneCore's error logs
● Reduced data entry time by 20 percent througha custom timesheet solution built into OneCore, removing the need for separate software
● Completed the three-month platform migration with zero disruption to live projects
● Improved documentation and quality control, with design and construction teams working from the same information
"What used to be a three-day resolution process now takes five minutes. The finance team can go straight into OneCore, see where the error is, and fix it themselves rather than waiting on IT support."
